Butterflies

Who doesn´t love butterflies? they fly around looking beautiful whenever wherever. First from the little caterpillar to a marvelous creature with wings.
It´s worrying that some of them are becoming extinct. We have to take care of our nature, so that we have flowers and that the bees and butterflies and other insects can live on,

Remember back in the days when it was hard to know if the picture had succeeded or not? When I think back, I thought it was so complicated to wait for the development to be done and then in tension open up the envelope to see what was inside. On the contrary I feel I miss those days. It was exciting to see how the face looked or if the scenery had succeeded. Usually the pictures were quite good, although there were not several tries. Is the conclusion that we are lazy? We take several shots because we can?
I almost have the temptation to try out an analog camera again and have the sensation of developing those pictures again.

Weekend!

I´m so happy this weekend just relaxing and seeing the possibility to take some shots. This whole week it has been really sunny and nice, with a cold wind but still warm in the sun. Just the thought of the sun awakes me and gives all those sensations of Spring feelings that I have had since little. I remember being out all day, just getting inside to eat and then out again until the darkness finally surprised and it was time to go to bed. Oh how I think of my childhood with grace at times and really miss it. If only I´d been into taking pics back then and had my own experiences like kids do nowadays with their tables and cellphones. Back when I was little there was only my dad taking pics with the analog camera and bringing the negatives for development. Talk about being sentimental when looking back now, Although it´s not such a long time since the digital camera really came. We just have got used to it.
These are some pics of the old  kind of equipment that still exists and that some like to use. There are even specific kind of printers that you can use to develop your own pics, unless you don´t want to order them from the store.
I like the simplicity of nowadays but then again long for the time when taking pictures was a form of art and not something everyone could do,

Signs of spring!

All around the world there are signs of spring. The trees are getting pollen, the flowers are appearing from the ground and of course the sun is warming us. Everyday some winter clothes can be removed and I´m just waiting until the day when all can and my t-shirt is back on.
A while ago I bought a juicer and have been using it for some months now. The juices are so good but of course I´m with expectation waiting for the summer fruits (melon, mango, passion fruit, strawberrries, blueberries, raspberries, goosberries. Basically anything you can get organically through out the summer. I will have a project to take good shots of these delicasies and all the green we have here in Sweden.

Since Spring 2014 I started taking photos seriously. I do it as a hobby but now with a mirrorless camera I was able to view photos in a whole other way. I gt inspired by the little details, or a beautiful landscape. I had never noticed how bad my pics were taken with older compact cameras or even worse with the cellphone. These can still be used but only for moments where the details are not to be seen. Now when I open up lightroom and see all the shades, exposure, important data of the photo and size all is different. even the smallest dot can irritate when making perfection. I still don´t support the use of Photoshop that much because changing the reality is not my thing. Removing dirt from the lens or just making a color brighter or even adjusting the exposure is okay and this I´m able to do with programs like lightroom. There are several good ones and I think it´s important to find the one that is easy to use. Sometimes when seeing how someone else captured a moment or saw a little butterfly in colors is inspiring and I hope to see much of that here. My goal with my pictures is to capture a world in beauty, colors and experiences. Join me!
